Besides Daniel is an eclectic indie folk band based around its front man and creative force Danny Brewer. An ever changing line up includes a rotating cast of musicians who accompany with an array of gadgets including sax, cello, violin, melodica, tambourine, banjo, accordion, toy keyboards, pots, pans, spoons, strings attached to cans, glockenspiels, digital whatnots, organs, and whatever else is close at hand. Based out of Atlanta, the group has toured the U.S. extensively and show no signs of stopping. BeATL says “Besides Daniel creates music for intelligent & aware minds. Truly, the vocals have a cathartic power.” Influences of the band are songwriters like Bob Dylan, A.A. Bondy, Jonsi, Ray LaMontagne, Sufjan Stevens, Nick Drake, James Blake, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Elliott Smith, Conor Oberst, and Samuel Beam (Iron & Wine), as well as bands like Sigur Ros, Radiohead, MeWithoutYou, and Arcade Fire.
